How to Create an Advanced Click Rotator

If you need more control and options than a basic click rotator gives you, create an advanced click rotator. When creating an advanced click rotator, you will click on the “Advanced Settings” button below the basic click rotator fields.

To create a new advanced click rotator click on “Click Rotators” in the navigation menu This will bring you to click rotator management area.

Next, click on the “Add New Click Rotator” button near the top of the page. This will open up an area where you can create the new advanced click rotator.

Click on the “Advanced Settings” button below the basic click rotator fields to display the available advanced click rotator settings.

Please note that not all fields are required. Just fill in the fields that you need, for the advanced click rotator to perform in the manner you desire.

Here is a list of the available fields and their uses when creating a new advanced click rotator.

Click Rotator Basic Information

Rotator Description:
Enter a description for this rotator. The description is used to help you identify this particular rotator in lists that contain multiple rotators.

Rotator Type:
Select the type of rotator you would like to create. You have the option of creating a Series, Rotate or Random rotator.

Series rotators deliver clicks to the first link until you have sent the selected number of clicks. Once the first link has been sent the selected number of clicks, the next link in the series will be sent clicks. Each link in this rotator will be sent clicks until it has been sent the selected number of clicks.

Rotate rotators send clicks to all links in a rotating fashion. Once a click has been sent to all links in the rotator, it starts sending clicks again starting with the top of the list.

Random rotators send clicks randomly to the links in the rotator.

Group (optional):
You can optionally assign this rotator to a group. You can type in a new group name or select an existing group by typing the first few letters of a group and then selecting it from the dropdown list that appears. Some rotator listings allow you to search and sort by group.

Default URL:
Enter the URL you want to send all clicks to if there is no link in the rotator remaining that this click can be sent to. For example, this URL will be sent clicks if all links in the rotator have been delivered their set number of clicks or all fail any tests used to determine click eligibility.

Notes (optional):
You can keep any notes about this rotator you want in this field.

Click Rotator Advanced Settings

Click Rotator Code (optional):
If you want to define a specific code to use for this rotator, enter it in this field. It must only contain letters, numbers or dashes. Leave this field blank to have an auto generated code created for you when the rotator is saved.

Duplicate Click Handling:
This setting determines how duplicate clicks coming from the same IP address are handled. You have the following options you can select.

Different Link – A duplicate click will be sent to a different link. It will never be sent to a link it has already visited.

Same Link – All duplicate clicks will be sent to the original link that they where initially sent to.

Click Rotator Advanced Blocking Settings

Block All Anonymous Proxies:
To block clicks from anonymous proxies, set this field to “Yes”. Otherwise set it to “No”.

Block All Amazon AWS IP Addresses:
To block clicks from Amazon AWS IP’s, set this field to “Yes”. Otherwise set it to “No”.

Block All Search Engine Crawlers:
To block clicks from search engine crawlers, set this field to “Yes”. Otherwise set it to “No”.

Use Aggressive Bot Blocking:
To block clicks from bots, set this field to “Yes”. Otherwise set it to “No”. Make sure you click the red button that says “Click Here Before Activating” and make sure you fully understand what you are doing before turning on aggressive bot blocking.

Blocked Clicks URL:
Enter the URL that you want all blocked clicks to be sent to. This URL must start with http:// or https://.

Once you have filled out the desired fields, don’t forget to click on the “Save” button to create the new click rotator.

After you have created a new click rotator, you will need to add links to it. Adding links to a click rotator. Please see the section of the manual on how to add links to a rotator when you are ready to add links to any rotators you have created.

To see the URL you will send traffic to for this click rotator, perform the following.

Locate the new basic click rotator in the list of click rotators.

Click on the hamburger menu to the far right of the table for the desired click rotator. This will open a menu where you can copy the link to the clipboard or visit the click rotators link.
